Duck Tape Colours came to us to find out how they could improve their website – their CMS was extremely difficult to use, and despite being a household name they were not ranking for their tape types or crafts.

The first step was moving their site to our CMS, giving us greater control over things like their architecture, metadata, and content. As part of this move, we updated their site structure with additional landing pages for their different product types and manually write metadata to make the most of the ranking opportunities that section of the site offers. Since moving their site, we have also been working with them on a monthly basis to improve their on-site content and rankings.

Despite having a lot of products, their site did not contain product descriptions or even copy on the landing pages, which reduced their changes of ranking on the first page. We worked through the site adding copy to top-level pages to offer visitors more information about their products and increase the volume of unique copy for Google.
