From Nursery to Black Belt: Three New Builds
Three more sites are live, and each one had a very different job to do. A British international school in Doha teaching from Early Years through to IGCSE, a martial arts academy in Surrey working with thousands of children a year, and an independent prep school marking more than seventy-five years in Caterham.
The work sat with the same team throughout, which is how we have built for twenty-five years. Strategy, design, development, content and SEO happen in one building, and every project starts from the same question rather than from a layout, which is what job this particular site has to do for the people who will use it.
Queen’s Qatar

Queen’s Qatar is a British international school in Doha, delivering the English National Curriculum from Early Years through to IGCSE, and the site opens on the school’s own promise, which is that every child’s potential is recognised, nurtured and celebrated.
An international school is usually being compared from a distance, often by a family who have not yet arrived in the country, so the site has to establish British credentials and a sense of the place at the same time. The structure separates About Us, Education, Admissions and School Life so a parent can go straight to whichever question brought them, while the Artemex and Experience Programme gets room of its own to explain the life skills, leadership and global perspective sitting alongside the curriculum. Membership of COBIS appears as the independent marker families look for, parent and student testimonials carry the warmth that a curriculum page cannot, and the languages taught across the school, from Arabic and French to Spanish, Dutch and Russian, make the international character concrete rather than claimed. Applications run through an online portal and tours are bookable directly, so a family researching from another country can move from interest to a date in the diary without an email exchange.
London TKD

London TKD teaches Taekwondo through school clubs and its own academy, operating out of de Stafford School in Caterham with a promise that leads the homepage, a martial arts experience that is inclusive, safe and fun.
Parents are the audience here, and the site is built to answer them quickly. The proof is high on the page, with ten years of teaching, 147 partner schools, 12,000 children reached and an endorsement from double Olympic champion Jade Jones OBE, followed by a carousel of parents saying it in their own words. The two ways in, the academy and the school club programme, are separated early so nobody has to work out which one applies to them, and the Blackbelt Journey gives the longer arc for families thinking beyond a first session. A single Get Started route runs throughout, so interest never has to travel far to become an enquiry.
Oakhyrst Grange School
Oakhyrst Grange is a small co-educational independent prep in Caterham, Surrey, taking boys and girls from three to eleven under a line the school has used for years, mighty oaks from little acorns grow.
A small school has two things to convey at once, warmth and outcomes, and the site gives each of them space. The age stages are split into EYFS, Pre-Prep and Prep, with a day in the life behind each one so a parent can picture their own child rather than a year group. A welcome video carries the tone that a prospectus cannot, while the numbers hold the other half of the argument, with twenty-eight scholarships awarded across a single Year 6 cohort, more than seventy-five years of history and over forty-five clubs and activities. Open events are bookable from the homepage, and the parents’ area, calendar and payment portal keep current families served by the same site that recruits new ones.
Three jobs, one approach
An international school has to prove itself to a family who may be reading from four thousand miles away. A martial arts academy has to earn a parent’s trust in about thirty seconds. A small prep has to be warm and rigorous in the same breath.
Those are three different jobs, and no template solves all three. Engagement is never one thing, so we start every build from the audience and then design a layout to tell their story.
Whether you’re a school or a brand, if your website has a job to do, let’s work out what that is together: book a discovery call and we’ll show you exactly how we’d build yours.
