when our reputation crossed the atlantic.
THE CHALLENGE
When Montclair Kimberley Academy in New Jersey approached us to redesign their school magazine, The Review, it was a significant moment, our reputation for innovative school literature had crossed the Atlantic. The school needed a publication that could evolve from its existing design into something more modern and compelling, one that would serve not just as a news digest but as a genuine marketing piece showcasing this leading, contemporary school across three campuses.
OUR APPROACH
Now into our fifth issue together, we have gradually and thoughtfully transitioned the magazine’s design into something more sleek and modern with each edition. We work closely with the MKA team to balance editorial content with beautiful visual storytelling, commissioning digital illustrations, making the most of their stunning campus photography, and weaving the school’s Annual Development Report seamlessly into the publication. For our most recent issue we brought in illustrator Jessica Smith to create the cover and themed artwork, adding an extra layer of personality and artistry. The result is a 140-page flagship publication that the school is rightly proud of.
