howe green house school didn’t need more words on a page, they needed people to feel it.
THE CHALLENGE
- The homepage needed to make an immediate impression, capturing the warmth and energy of the school from the very first second
- Four separate videos were required — a hero banner and three values-specific montages — each with its own identity but feeling part of a coherent whole
- Each values video had to visually represent a specific theme: Self Discovery, Igniting Curiosity and Working Together
- The brief called for something dynamic and montage-driven, autoplaying to draw visitors in without requiring any interaction
- Nothing could feel generic — the footage had to feel genuinely true to who Howe Green House School are
OUR APPROACH
With four separate videos to deliver, we structured the shoot across two days, blocking the timetable into 30-minute slots and building in activities that would naturally align with the three core values we needed to capture visually.
Filming covered a wide variety of scenes, from the methane bubble experiment to a visiting karate club, with Willow the therapy dog featuring naturally throughout. Drone footage added scale and setting, while the main banner opened with children arriving during morning golden hour, giving the film a distinctive, inviting look. Slow motion was woven throughout to add texture alongside the more dynamic sequences.
In post-production, each of the three values montages was built from footage chosen specifically to reflect its theme rather than repurposing the same clips across all four videos. With no voiceover or music, the visuals carry the full weight of the storytelling, making the quality of the edit and shot selection all the more important.
